IPPON JUDO (12 – 16 years old)
Contents:
Lots of fall techniques and easier
acrobatics.
Mat techniques and throw techniques in order to give
the kids the possibility to grade to higher belts.
The main purpose of this training is “techniques” and
all kinds of “randori”
Theoretical learning on food
consumption, liquid consumption, physical and mental training methods, ethics
and moral.
Theoretical learning on
“competition judo”, planning and setting objectives for the near and far
future.
Objectives:
To try to gather boys and girls which are interested
in “competition judo”
To teach these kids to listen, pay attention and do as
the teachers say.
To teach the kids the importance
of “fair play” according to the clubs ethics and morals.
To increase the knowledge and
importance of fall techniques, coordination, and body construction.
To teach Judo techniques as much as possible in order
to give the kids a chance to grade to higher belts no matter which group the
kids wants to follow. (Competition or just motion)
To educate the kids so they “think” Judo where ever
they are, in or outside the “dojo”
To teach the kids, in theory, all
about food consumption, weight, doping, tobacco, alcohol and potentially
dangerous drugs.
To organise activities such as training camps, referee
school, trainer school, and fundamental club knowledge.
To create a place where kids, boys and girls, parents
and teachers can interact with good spirit, ethics and morals and create a
lifelong interest for this sport.
It is not
important:
“Automatic learning” of techniques are not essential
Strength and condition training are not essential
either. Those who want to try some “harder” training, are welcome to do so.
Advanced “tactical” training or advanced “kumi-kata”
training are not a priority.
Competitions:
When boys and girls reach the age of 12 or 13, the
competitions are more “serious”, and those who train enough are allowed to
compete in various competitions inside our district, and sometimes even outside
the district. When they reach the age of 13 they are allowed to compete in so
called “Schools Masters”, and when they reach 14 years, they can participate in
National competitions.
IPPON JUDO
IS NOT A TRAINING METHOD TO GET KIDS TO BECOME SWEDISH CHAMPIONS, BUT A METHOD
TO KEEP THEM AS ACTIVE JUDOKAS THROUGHOUT THEIR ENTIRE LIFE.
